When giving time for actually creating the projects I found that some students required more time than others.
Some projects, like Scroll 9 pictured above, didn’t take a large amount of time but still was very powerful.
Some students chose to create collages from images they found on certain topics, as pictured above.
Some students were most comfortable finding images from the internet and then drawing from those inspirations. Some students also were able to utilize both printed pictures and images they drew themselves.
Some students were able to share their talents with creating and drew images they designed themselves!
I had one pair of students who wanted to create an installation for their scroll. They tediously cut out red dresses and wrote the names of missing and murdered Indigenous women.
What I most appreciate about this assignment is that all students can find a way to express themselves in different ways.
